7 days - from $5150
The experience of standing on top of one of New Zealand's main peaks, high above the clouds and between the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean, is a rare privilege. The massive bulk of New Zealand's highest mountain dominates Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Rising 3000 metres from the Tasman Valley floor, Aoraki is a significant mountaineering challenge. Skill, physical endurance and respect are required to reach its summit. We approach our guided climb of Mount Cook as an expedition and seven days are allocated for our attempt. We fly in to Plateau Hut (2200 m) to maximise time in the mountains and increase our chances of a successful ascent.

It is a condition of joining this expedition that all members are prepared to accept the leaders' decision on any matter relating to the climb, including the suitability or otherwise of equipment that a member brings and their fitness to climb at any point. The safety of all members of the party is our foremost priority, and, whilst these expeditions are scheduled at the best time of the year, it must be accepted that any decision of the leader not to proceed with a summit attempt for any reason (most likely, unsuitable weather or snow conditions) is final and made with good cause.
